Clogau Gold launches 737 Challenge jewellery collection

The 737 Challenge and high camp sponsor Clogau Gold are thrilled to announce the launch of the 737 Challenge jewellery collection.

The 9-piece 737 Challenge collection will be officially launched at the Spring Fair International this Sunday at Birmingam NEC.

Richard aims to raise 1 million pounds for Marie Curie Cancer Care and Clogau Gold has a long-standing relationship with the cancer charity who help provide care for terminally ill patients in the community and in their hospices, along with support for their families.

Due to this relation and the fact that Clogau currently have a jewellery line raising money for Marie Cure Cancer Care and are official licensees of jewellery for the Welsh Rugby Union – the sponsorship of the 737 Challenge seemed on obvious one, combining the two.

Clogau Gold Managing Director Ben Roberts stated; “When we first heard about the challenge Richard was looking to undertake we couldn't believe it, it's a tremendous undertaking and the scale of which is only surpassed by Richard's own enthusiasm for the project. Whilst planning this tremendous mission Richard has continuously impressed us with his ability to train whilst still winding up all parties for involvement on all levels, whether it is sponsorship, marketing or even taking part. I think that really demonstrates a lot about Richard and his tenacity”.

He added; “For us as an organisation, we're just delighted to be involved and I know that to most people we're not an obvious partner but with the launch of our new 737 Challenge range (where 20% of sales will be donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care) we were able to get involved and continue our existing relationship with Marie Curie but in a far more interesting way and one which lends itself so well to the market we're appealing to.”

The 9-piece 737 Challenge collection is created in silver and rose gold with black enamel, the collection features 3 friendship bracelets, 2 pendants, 2 rings, a pair of cufflinks and a bead charm – catering for both male and female customers who wish to own an elegant piece of jewellery while supporting the 737 Challenge and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Every piece in the collection is beautifully hand-crafted and contains a touch of the rarest gold in the world – Welsh gold. Inscribed on each piece is the proverb “The horizon is only the limit of our sight” which inspired Richard to undertake this challenge ever since the words were spoken at his grandmother’s funeral.

Richard couldn’t be more proud to be working alongside welsh company Clogau Gold to develop this range, he stated; “Clogau Gold is an international company whose heart beats in Wales, very much like the 737 Challenge. They have always been passionate about the challenge and have supported me from day one. The jewellery collection is awesome and Clogau Gold have shown such commitment supporting the challenge and developing the range. To be able to raise extra funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care from this collection is a real boost to my fundraising, I only wish I could be there for the launch but my team are keeping me up to date whilst I climb Aconcagua in South America, the 3rd leg of my 737 Challenge”.

The 737 Challenge jewellery collection will be available online at www.clogau.co.uk from March 2011.
