This Sunday Richard Parks will leave Wales from the historic Pierhead building in Cardiff Bay to set off on his epic world first challenge, one hundred years after the British Antarctic Expedition, led by Captain Robert Falcon Scott, departed from Cardiff Bay in the vessel SS Terra Nova.
The 737 Challenge will see the former Welsh International rugby player attempt a world first…7 Summits, 3 Poles in 7 Months.
When successful Richard will become the first ever person to stand on the continental summits and all 3 poles (The North Pole, South Pole and Mount Everest) in the same calendar year.
Richard will be leaving the Pierhead in Cardiff Bay at midday on Sunday 12th December. If you would like to support Richard as he leaves Wales to embark on his epic word first expedition, please join Richard and his team at Pierhead in Cardiff Bay.

12.00pm: Richard Parks leaves Cardiff Bay
Richard will begin his journey by travelling to The South Pole. He will fly from London Heathrow to Punta Arenas and on to Patriot Hills on Antarctica.
The 737 Challenge will see him take on The Geographical South Pole, followed by Mount Vinson, Aconcagua, Kilimanjaro, Carstensz Pyramid, The Geographical North Pole, Mount Everest, Denali and finally Mount Elbrus.
