Everest Part 1

The trek in to Everest Base Camp. From 19th April - 29th April, Richard and Steve Williams trekked to Everest Base Camp. Rich and Steve were joined by Steve's father and Dai the cameraman on this trek. Along the route they met 82-year-old former Nepalese foreign minister Shailendra Kumar Upadhyay who was attempting to become the oldest person to climb the world's highest mountain. Sadly, he died a few weeks later on Everest. The trek route saw Rich and the team trek along the Khumbu Valley through Namche, Debouche, Dingbouche, Pheriche, Chukung, Lobuche and Gorak Shep before finally arriving at Everest Base Camp.
