Newport Gwent Dragons stars have been checking out the charity shirt designed by former player Richard Parks, which is to be worn when the Men of Gwent play the Cardiff Blues in their re-arranged fixture. The charity shirt has become a fixture in the region’s calendar, and although the game on the 27th December had to be postponed, the Dragons team are still excited to be supporting former Dragon Richard, as he continues his world first 737 Challenge in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Following the game the players’ shirts will be auctioned to raise funds for the 737 Challenge.
Richard has already completed the first 2 legs of his incredible expedition which will see him climb the 7 Summits, which are the highest mountain on each of the world's continents, and venture to The North and South Poles, all against a 7 month clock.
When he succeeds, the former Rodney Parade favourite, who was cruelly forced to retire by a shoulder injury, will be the first to achieve these incredible feats within a calendar year.
The date for the match has yet to be confirmed by Magners League, but the Dragons and 737 Challenge team will keep supporters informed.
