This Thursday marks a very special date for the 737 Challenge as record maker Richard Parks is set to celebrate the success of his world first expedition at his Welcome Home Gala Dinner at City Hall, Cardiff.
The night is all set to be a glamorous affair celebrating Richard’s incredible world first which saw him become the first ever person to stand on the highest summit on each of the world’s continents and all 3 poles in the same year.
The night, hosted by TV presenter Gethin Jones will look back at 7 amazing months, whilst there will be a chance to win some money can’t buy prizes in the auction and raffle, raising further funds in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. With a sumptuous menu, a host of entertainment and over 350 guests, the night is all set to be one to remember.
Richard stated; “I can’t believe it has come around so quickly and I am really excited about the Gala Dinner and the fact that it sold out so quickly. I’d like to thank everyone who purchased tickets, it means a lot to me”. He added; “It will be a very special night for me as it’s the fist time that everyone involved in the challenge will all be under one roof. We are all looking forward to letting our hair down, as well as raising funds in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. There are some awesome prizes on offer to win on the night, I pretty much wish I could enter them myself! I am genuinely really excited about the night”.
The black tie evening will see guests arrive at City Hall at 6.30pm for a reception in the impressive Marble Hall before moving in to the magnificent Assembly Room for the Gala Dinner.
